Job summary

WorkWhile is seeking a Corporate Controller in SF to design and build a world-class accounting function for high-volume processing across Marketplace, SaaS, and Fintech revenue streams. You will own the close, treasury, equity, and multi-jurisdiction tax processes while guiding an ERP migration and AI-driven automation.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license - non-negotiable.
• Big 4 audit experience: 4–6 years in audit at a Big 4 firm, serving public or high-growth tech clients.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, 3+ years as Controller at a venture-backed tech company.
• Deep technical accounting in ASC 606 across multi-element arrangements.
• ERP implementation experience - migrating from QuickBooks to NetSuite/Sage Intacct, or equivalent.
• Experience with multi-state payroll tax compliance and nexus analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own core accounting operations: GL, payroll, P2P, O2C, R2R.
• Lead ERP migration and integrate with billing, payroll, and payments systems.
• Develop technical accounting memos and ASC 606 policies for revenue streams.
• Oversee external audit process and investor reporting.
• Manage equity accounting under ASC 718 and treasury activities.
