Job summary

Turnout, an AI-driven advocacy platform, seeks a Controller to own accounting operations end to end at our Solana Beach headquarters. You will manage the close, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and intercompany activity while ensuring audit readiness and strong internal controls.

You will implement scalable processes, partner with leadership, and oversee the ERP ecosystem, including AP automation and billing integrations. This hands‑on role demands precision in a fast‑growing company.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 experience.
• Proven ownership of a full monthly close and external audits.
• Strong ERP experience with modern AP and expense tools.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reporting for leadership and lenders.
• Automate close processes to shorten timelines and maintain revenue schedules.
• Manage accounts payable, payroll accounting, and intercompany activity across entities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings.
• Design and maintain internal controls and document management.
