Job summary

Grant Morgan is seeking a high-potential Corporate Controller to lead the accounting function remotely. Reporting to the CFO, you will own financial reporting, revenue recognition, tax, treasury, and regulatory compliance across a multi-entity structure including international operations.

The role requires 8+ years in entrepreneurial or PE-backed environments, CPA preferred, and hands-on experience with post-close integrations and Sage systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience in entrepreneurial, privately held or PE-backed growth companies.
• Experience in professional services preferred.
• Hands-on post-close integrations including system migrations and consolidations.
• Exposure to Sage or similar financial systems; strong leadership and communication.
• Comfort working in a fully remote, accountable environment.

Our client, a rapidly growing, transforaminal, private equity-backed professional services company seeks a high potential, hands‑on financial professional to lead the accounting function. The company has a unique business model that services the legal community that could have a meaningful impact on the industry. The company is at an exciting stage of growth and change that could result in significant growth over the next 3-5 years, both through acquisitions and organic growth. Position:

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller is a critical, hands‑on leadership position responsible for financial reporting, revenue recognition, accounting operations, tax, treasury, acquisition integration and regulatory compliance across a multi-entity organizational structure including international operations. The organization operates multiple revenue streams – including management service fees, technology and platform licensing and other value-added services. This role will serve as a key financial steward during a period of active growth including acquisitions, integrations and platform expansion. This person will work closely and be a business partner with the senior management team, the various operating company teams, external advisors, the private equity firm and the Board. This person will help shape the financial foundation of a rapidly growing, exciting professional services organization.

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Accounting. CPA preferred. Prior Public Accounting experience a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience in entrepreneurial, privately held/private equity backed middle market growth-oriented companies.
• Demonstrated experience with professional services organization.
• Hands‑on experience leading post‑close integrations, including system migrations, entity consolidations and reporting alignment.
• Prior exposure to Sage accounting/financial systems or similar systems preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills along with the ability/enjoyment to work in a collaborative, continuous improvement culture. Solid team orientation and work ethic.
• A motivated, hands‑on strategic financial professional with a keen sense of ownership and follow‑through.
