Job description

This organization is entering an energizing chapter of renewal, guided by a leadership team that genuinely believes in taking care of its people and bringing them along for the growth ahead. Decisions here are made by leaders who value listening as much as they value results, and who are unafraid to refresh their own ranks in pursuit of a more dynamic, forward looking culture. Colleagues describe a workplace where mentorship matters, new ideas are welcomed rather than resisted, and the people at the top show up, invest in relationships, and mean what they say about building something better together.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a true leadership seat, not just a finance role, taking ownership of financial strategy while also guiding purchasing, customer service, IT, after market business, project management, and sourcing functions as one unified team. You will partner directly with senior leadership as a trusted advisor, lead a major ERP implementation from the ground up, and build the leadership bench strength this organization needs for its next phase of growth. For an experienced finance and operations leader ready to move beyond a purely administrative mandate, this role offers real influence, visibility, and room to shape what comes next.

Role Responsibilities
  • Own the organization's financial matters, including budgeting, financial reporting, controllership, and business planning, with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the parent organization covering cash flow, forecasting, variance analysis, and reconciliation under both IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, banking relationships and reconciliations, fixed assets and depreciation, and inventory tracking and valuation, along with intercompany reporting and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate the annual audit and manage relationships with internal and external auditors and tax advisors; participate regularly in corporate leadership and board level meetings, including occasional international travel.
  • Oversee commercial recording, milestone based and timely invoicing, and accounting treatment of capital equipment and parts and service orders, including percentage of completion projects and related split bookings.
  • Oversee purchasing, shipping, logistics, and stock and asset management for capital equipment goods and components.
  • Oversee sourcing activities, including cost analyses comparing domestic and international procurement options, supplier contracts, and required quality certifications and controls.
  • Oversee office administration and legal and operational compliance, including facilities, secretarial and administrative support, and IT services and infrastructure, ensuring consistent use of standard procedures and internal systems.
  • Oversee the financial planning side of HR, including payroll, bonus processing, and travel expenses, and partner with HR on the goal and target setting process.
  • Provide financial oversight and controllership for the after market business and service function, including business planning, order intake, profitability, and risk, stock, and asset control.
  • Provide business supervision of project management procedures, including cost calculation tools, invoicing, claim management, timeline oversight, and regular internal cost and risk audits.
  • Propose business procedure improvements across all of the above functional areas.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience providing financial oversight in an industrial or manufacturing environment, including budgeting, financial reporting, controllership, compliance, and business planning, along with fixed asset, accounts receivable, and accounts payable oversight, cash flow management, and coordination of the annual audit.
  • Strong working knowledge of analyzing operating costs, budget variances, and business trends to support leadership decision making and provide financial insight that helps improve the business.
  • Experience supporting the integration of multiple regional businesses into one aligned organization, with an understanding of how to serve shared corporate goals while delivering quality information as a strong business partner.
  • Ability to lead and execute monthly bookkeeping and both monthly and annual financial close activities, with a proactive mindset toward continually optimizing financial operations.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Previous experience within a similar technical or industrial company with engineering competency. (Preferred).
  • Prior experience with Sage 100 or a comparable ERP platform, including experience picking up and accelerating an implementation already underway (Preferred).
  • A creative, hands on approach with strong time management, paired with an open, growth oriented mindset that embraces change rather than resisting it (Preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience building leadership bench strength and developing high potential team members (Preferred).
  • CPA credentials are not required, but a plus.
