Overview

Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is currently recruiting for a Controller on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer committed to innovation and operational excellence. Under the direction of the President, this key role is accountable for all financial aspects of the organization, including forecasting, budgeting, plant performance metrics, and financial controls. This is a strategic individual contributor role—ideal for a hands-on financial leader with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience. This fully onsite role in Racine, WI with a $20M manufacturer offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Strategic & Financial Leadership: Support the President in achieving performance metrics (revenue, gross profit, inventory turns, capital forecasting); Establish and enforce effective internal controls and financial policies; Analyze strengths and weaknesses in financial control systems and make actionable recommendations; Provide accurate, timely financial reporting to executive leadership and Board of Directors.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Lead the budgeting process and monthly budget audits; Oversee Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Costing/Inventory processes; Prepare and present monthly financial closings, forecasts, and KPI reports; Manage costing from raw materials to final product pricing; Conduct formal meetings with stakeholders, complete with actionable agendas and recaps.
• IT Systems & ERP Oversight: Manage and support the company’s financial IT systems, including ERP system; Coordinate system improvements for enhanced data security and operational efficiency; Train and support team members in financial systems use.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations and technology leaders to align cost structures with marketability and profitability; Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost productivity programs; Assess supply chain impacts and communicate changes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Strong understanding of KPIs, operational excellence, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
