Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a growing healthcare organization backed by private equity.

This hands-on leadership role partners closely with the CFO and senior leadership as the organization continues to scale. The role oversees the monthly close, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with responsibility for multi-entity accounting, internal controls, audits, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, GL, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Prior accounting team leadership experience.
• Experience in healthcare or multi-location environments preferred.
• PE-backed or acquisitive company experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Oversee GL, reconciliations, AP, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Manage multi-entity accounting, intercompany activity, and consolidations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate external audits and support tax reporting.
• Oversee cash reporting and working-capital activities.
• Drive accounting process improvement, automation, and standardization.
• Support integrations of acquired businesses.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Partner with FP&A and Operations on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
