Job summary

CFS, a manufacturing-focused company, seeks a Controller to lead the accounting department in New London, CT. This role offers hands-on management, close collaboration with leadership, and visibility across core accounting functions.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting while partnering with the GM and CFO. A BS in accounting and 7+ years of leadership in manufacturing are preferred; growth opportunities abound.

Qualifications

• BS Accounting degree required.
• 7+ years accounting management experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience with external audits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the accounting department.
• Own and streamline critical business processes.
• Hands-on accounting and review of work from the accounting team, month end close activities, financial statement prep.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting for the division with the GM.
• Prepare financial reporting and present variances and pricing to management.
• Coordinate with external audit teams.
• Additional duties as assigned.

About This Controller Opportunity

• Lead, manage and develop the accounting department.

Preferred Qualifications Of The Controller

• BS Accounting.
• 7+ years of accounting management experience from manufacturing or construction. Or leadership experience directly from public accounting with manufacturing clients.
