Controller (Manufacturing & Operations Accounting)

Salary: Up to $130k Base DOE + Bonus Potential

Controller Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP in partnership with parent company leadership
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing margin analysis
• Partner with operations leadership to improve production reporting, cost tracking, pricing analysis, and operational efficiency metrics
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and departmental financial planning
• Lead process improvement initiatives and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Assist with audits, tax support, and external reporting requirements
• Support ERP and accounting system optimization efforts as the company continues to scale and modernize
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and leadership on payroll, benefits, and operational initiatives
• Participate in physical inventory counts and support manufacturing operations as needed

Controller Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• CPA highly preferred
• 6+ years of combined public and corporate accounting experience preferred
• Experience within manufacturing, inventory-based, or production environments strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounting
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance analysis
• ERP system experience required; QuickBooks and ERP implementation/transition experience highly preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
