Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Controller in Los Angeles, CA to lead month-end close across multiple entities and deliver precise financial reporting to PE ownership. The role requires managing intercompany activity across a large footprint and overseeing cash flow, AP, reconciliations, and payroll for thousands of employees.

You will collaborate with billing on revenue cycle and tighten the cash conversion cycle while building robust reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred.
• Proven hands-on Controller-level experience.
• Multi-entity accounting experience required.
• Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close across multiple entities and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to PE ownership and executive leadership.
• Run multi-entity consolidations and manage intercompany activity across a 12-state, 30–40+ location footprint.
• Oversee day-to-day cash flow, AP, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and payroll accounting for 3,000–4,000 employees.
• Partner with billing team on revenue cycle operations, AR, and collections to tighten cash conversion cycle.
• Build out reporting packages, define and track KPIs, and establish internal controls where none exist today.
• Manage relationship with external CPAs on tax compliance, year-end audit, and PE-related deliverables.

Job Details

What You’ll Own

• 1. Lead month-end close across multiple entities and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to PE ownership and executive leadership
• 2. Run multi-entity consolidations and manage all intercompany activity across a 12-state, 30–40+ location footprint
• 3. Oversee day-to-day cash flow, accounts payable, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and payroll accounting for a 3,000–4,000 employee organization
• 4. Partner directly with the billing team on revenue cycle operations, accounts receivable, and collections to tighten the cash conversion cycle
• 5. Build out reporting packages, define and track KPIs, and establish internal controls where none exist today
• 6. Manage the relationship with external CPAs on tax compliance, year-end audit, and PE-related deliverables

What Matters Most

• You have managed accounting across multiple locations or entities and know what that complexity looks like.
• You are comfortable with PE-level reporting, board presentations, and the pace that comes with private equity ownership.
• You can build, manipulate, and own complex models in Excel
