Washington State University is seeking a Control Technician to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of HVAC, mechanical, and building automation systems across campus.
You will use diverse test equipment, apply troubleshooting methods, and work with programming software to support safe, reliable campus operations. This full-time position is in Pullman, WA and requires on-site presence and driving as needed.
As the Control Technician, you are responsible for performing installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair for a wide variety of complex HVAC systems, mechanical systems, control systems, alarm systems and metering systems to support building and campus operations. This position involves use of all types of electronic/mechanical test equipment, creative troubleshooting techniques and methods, personal computers, and programming software.
This is a full-time (100%), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $5,506 to $6,384 | Range 51G (Steps G-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
