Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Graham, Kentucky seeks a Control Systems Engineer to lead the commissioning and startup of a brand-new TNT manufacturing facility. You will design, implement, and optimize automation systems (DCS/SIS/PLCs) and ensure safe, reliable operation through the asset lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial automation, knowledge of IEC 61511, and experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, and networked control systems. A collaborative team player mindset is essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Automation Engineering.
5+ years in industrial automation/control systems in process industries.
Experience with DCS, SIS, PLCs, HMI/SCADA and networks.
Knowledge of IEC 61511/functional safety principles.
Willing to undergo ATF background check for explosives
Commissioning/startup experience preferred
Team player with positive attitude

Responsibilities

Design, commission, and optimize automation systems for the new TNT plant.
Provide leadership for DCS, SIS, PLCs, networks, and safety requirements.
Review control philosophies, specs, and documentation through FEED to detail design.
Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, startup, and validation activities.
Enhance alarm management, operator interfaces, and training materials.
Ensure readiness and lifecycle management of control assets.
