Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Graham, Kentucky, is launching a brand-new TNT manufacturing plant and seeks a mechanical engineer to assure equipment, piping, materials, and construction activities meet Dyno Nobel standards and safety codes.

You will lead mechanical reliability and integrity programs, support commissioning, and optimize maintenance strategies while collaborating with EPCM teams and field staff to deliver a successful startup.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in industrial facilities (chemicals/explosives preferred).
  • Experience working with both static and rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, piping and pressure equipment standards.
  • Experience supporting construction and commissioning preferred.
  • Strong understanding of maintainability and asset lifecycle.
  • Must be willing to undergo ATF background check to possess explosives.
  • Positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of mechanical reliability and integrity programs for fixed and rotating equipment.
  • Design, equipment selection, construction, commissioning, startup and building the reliability program.
  • Review and assure mechanical and piping design deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical challenge to EPCM designs.
  • Support specification and selection of mechanical equipment.
  • Perform RCFA and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support preventive, predictive and RC(M) maintenance programs.
  • Review vendor data, drawings and operating manuals.
  • Provide field engineering support during installation and testing.
  • Support punch listing, mechanical completion and commissioning activities.
  • Provide engineering input to troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Develop and optimize preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Monitor MTBF, MTTR and availability; drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify reliability improvement opportunities through equipment performance analysis.
