Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Graham, Kentucky, seeks a Control Systems Engineer to lead automation design, commissioning, and optimization for our TNT facility. You will guide DCS, SIS, PLCs, and industrial networks from FEED to start-up and operations.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in industrial automation and a degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, with strong safety and commissioning experience.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Automation Engineering.
7+ years in industrial automation and control systems in continuous processes.
Experience with DCS, SIS, PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and networks.
Knowledge of IEC 61511 / functional safety principles.
Commissioning and start-up experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for process automation and control systems.
Assure architecture, design, and engineering deliverables from FEED through detailed design.
Review control philosophies, diagrams, specs, and documentation.
Ensure alignment with standards, cybersecurity, and industry practices.
Support SIS design assurance, SIL determinations, and safety reviews.
Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up activities for DCS, SIS, and PLCs.
Troubleshoot, tune, and upgrade control systems to improve reliability.
Develop and optimize alarm management and operator interfaces.
