Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Graham, Kentucky seeks a Control Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for DCS, SIS, PLCs and industrial networks from FEED through start-up and long-term operations.

You will design, commission and optimize automation for Dyno Nobel’s TNT manufacturing facility, guiding control system architecture, safety integrity, testing, and validation while ensuring cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Automation Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems in chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, explosives, or similar.
• Experience with DCS, SIS, PLCs, HMIs/SCADA and industrial networks.
• Knowledge of IEC 61511 / functional safety principles.
• Commissioning and startup experience.
• Must be willing to undergo ATF background check for explosives.
• Positive attitude, team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for process automation and control systems from FEED through start-up and operations.
• Design, commission, and optimize automation systems for the TNT facility.
• Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation activities for DCS, SIS, and PLCs.
• Ensure cyber security alignment and adherence to Dyno Nobel standards.
• Support alarm management, operator interfaces, and control system training.
• Lifecycle management of automation assets and software.
