Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a Control and Electrical Technician (CET) to repair plant instrumentation and control systems under the direction of a maintenance supervisor. The role involves installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing AC/DC power and control equipment, as well as interpreting drawings and training apprentices on instrumentation and control systems.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, journeyman level experience, coursework in math/electrical

Qualifications

• Must provide documented journeyman level experience and pass a written test.
• Demonstrated coursework in mathematics, electrical theory, and electronics.
• Knowledge of plant control systems such as turbine control computer and plant monitoring systems.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts when required.
• Ability to test, repair and calibrate plant instruments and controls.

Responsibilities

• Repair plant instrumentation and control systems under supervision.
• Install, modify, maintain, diagnose and repair AC/DC power and control equipment.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams; may supervise trainees.
