Job summary

PacifiCorp in Huntington, Utah is seeking an Instrument and Controls Technician to maintain and repair plant instrumentation and control systems, ensuring safe and accurate operation of power generation units and auxiliaries under supervision.

The role requires at least three years of journey-level experience in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting across analog/digital controls, emissions monitoring, and process instrumentation. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Three years of journey-level instrument and control experience (calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting).
Experience with analog and digital controls (pressure, level, temperature, flow).
Environmental measurement experience (NOx, SOx, opacity, CO2, oxygen).
Microprocessor-based instrumentation (DCS, SCADA, PLC).
Water chemistry monitoring (pH, silica, conductivity, density).
AC and DC theory.
Test equipment and troubleshooting.
Personal and equipment protection.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance of plant control systems.
Test, repair, and calibrate scrubber control and monitoring equipment and emission systems.
Test, repair, and calibrate water treatment instrumentation for plant chemistry control.
Test, repair, and calibrate plant instrumentation and controls on processes.
Keep records of daily work, PM, and calibration records.
Study manuals and schematics and coordinate with supervisor and vendors to research problems.
