Job summary

PacifiCorp in Huntington, Utah, seeks an Instrument and Control Technician to maintain and repair plant instrumentation and control systems, ensuring accurate and safe operation of power generation units and auxiliaries under supervision.

The role requires at least three years of journey-level experience with analog/digital controls, environmental measurement, DCS/SCADA/PLC, water chemistry monitoring, and AC/DC theory, plus related coursework or certification.

Qualifications

At least three years of journey-level instrument and control experience in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience with analog and digital controls (electronics & pneumatic) in process environments.
Experience with environmental measurement and monitoring systems.
Familiarity with microprocessor-based instrumentation including DCS/SCADA/PLC.
Knowledge of water chemistry monitoring and related controls.
AC and DC theory, test equipment use, and troubleshooting skills.
Commitment to personal and equipment protection and safety.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on plant control systems.
Test and calibrate emission monitoring and water treatment instrumentation.
Maintain records of maintenance, calibration, and daily work.
Study manuals and schematics and consult with supervisors and vendors as needed.
