Job summary
PacifiCorp in Glenrock, WY is hiring a Control and Electrical Technician (CET) to repair and maintain plant instrumentation and control systems under the supervision of a maintenance supervisor. The role requires reading drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams, and may involve directing apprentices.
The CET will work on AC/DC electrical power equipment, pneumatic/hydraulic sensing and control systems, data acquisition, and related plant controls.
Qualifications
- Journeyman level experience and a written test to demonstrate knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with plant instrumentation and control systems.
- Proficiency with testing, repairing, and calibrating plant instruments and controls.
- Knowledge of turbine control computers and plant monitoring systems.
- Comfort with basic computer software and data systems.
Responsibilities
- Repair plant instrumentation and control systems under supervision.
- Install, modify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power, sensing and control equipment.
- Direct and train apprentices when assigned.
