Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead sophisticated negotiations, shape proposals, and manage risk across the contract lifecycle. This hybrid role is based in Columbus, OH, with a flexible mix of in‑office and remote work to support project teams and internal clients.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff while contributing to strategic contracting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of IDIQ, CPAF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, and LOE contract types
• Experience with international contracting and complex contractual arrangements
• Familiarity with FAR, CPSR, UCC procedures

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and administer contractual agreements for assigned programs
• Analyze RFPs from policy, business, financial, contractual, and risk perspectives
• Support development of proposals and contracting strategy
• Mentor junior contracting staff and lead cross-functional process improvements
