Battelle is seeking an Environmental Solutions Division Manager in Columbus, OH. The role oversees ~100 staff and >$50M in revenue, driving growth and client relations across government and commercial clients.

Located in Columbus, OH, the position emphasizes strategy, financial performance, and cross-functional leadership. Responsibilities include developing business plans, pricing strategies, staffing, training, and coordinating with senior leadership to ensure ethical, safe, and compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or a related field.
• 10 years of relevant line management experience.
• Experience in environmental management, site management and remediation.
• Experience with business development and client account management.
• Must have strong communication with senior leadership and client organizations.
• Broad-based experience communicating with clients and industry consortiums.
• Up to 50% travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Division to achieve growth year over year and profitable performance.
• Develops and implements strategic and operational business plans for the group.
• Owns financial performance including gross volume, net income, and R&D budgets.
• Plans marketing activities to identify new clients and market needs.
• Manages manpower planning and staffing levels across projects.
• Oversees hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Ensures training and mentorship for staff.
• Ensures adherence to ethics, safety, and quality policies.
• Directs sales efforts and aligns investments with Battelle thrust areas.
• Collaborates across markets, labs, and sectors for account management and growth.
