Job summary

Universal Orlando is seeking a Contracts Specialist to draft, review, analyze, negotiate, and process contracts and related documents in line with UDX policies. You will translate operational requirements into accurate scopes of work and terms, collaborating with Sourcing, Risk, Finance, EHS, and other stakeholders.

This role supports pre-qualification, bidder reviews, NDAs, and contract amendments; maintains files, tracks expirations, and ensures compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• Excellent contract writing skills required.
• Experience using contract templates, preparing redlines, and translating business requirements into clear contract terms.
• Strong attention to detail in identifying ambiguities and inconsistencies.
• Technical/ride/show/operations support experience highly desired.
• Experience with Smartsheet and SharePoint desired.
• Construction-related or other technical contract experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or reviews master agreements, scopes of work, amendments, change orders, NDAs, and related contract documents.
• Works with business partners to obtain accurate and comprehensive vendor proposals; assists bidder review and selection; prepares contract forms and negotiates terms.
• Attends project or status meetings; assists with contract change orders or amendments; maintains contract files and tracks expirations.
• Assists with claims administration and contract compliance; ensures adherence to internal controls.
• Assists with pre-qualification of bidders and securing confidentiality agreements; drafts scopes of work for RFPs and reviews bid packages.
• Verifies insurance coverage, vendor qualification, and prepares notices; coordinates with bidders for final contract execution.
• Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities per policy; supports related team initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
