Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Contract Manager in North America to lead contract management activities across programs in the Electrification Distribution Solutions unit. You will review tender terms, support negotiations on pricing and scope, and manage change orders and notices to protect project interests.

You will collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance, maintain audit trails, and facilitate timely claims and risk mitigation while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in contracts, project management, and commercial roles.
• Familiarity with contract management tools and document control systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication skills - ability to draft clear contractual correspondence and notices.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites (~20%).
• Working knowledge of ABB or similar industrial/EPC project environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the provision of contract management services within the assigned area, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions.
• Attend weekly proposal team meetings to represent contract management on terms and conditions.
• Support front-end negotiations with customers and vendors on contractual language, pricing, and scope.
• Manage change orders, notices, and monitoring of contractual notices.
• Assist in claims notifications, supporting documentation, and correspondence under senior management.
• Monitor contract compliance, track schedule deviations, and ensure flow-down of subcontract requirements.
• Support drafting of purchase orders and subcontracts with appropriate flow-down terms.
