Job summary

ABB is seeking an Engineer to collaborate with customers, shape and deliver technical solutions, and ensure safety and contractual compliance across projects. You will manage work plans, budgets, and risk assessments while supporting contract changes and mentoring junior engineers.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, on-site and remote work, and frequent travel to advance complex distributed control systems work in the Energy Industries division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Science or other engineering degree.
• 2-5+ years of experience in engineering, working as an Engineer with Distributed Control Systems.
• Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver solutions with customers, using feedback to drive improvements for small to medium complex projects.
• Develop and review standard processes, tools and techniques while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements.
• Create and deliver work plans and budgets, and perform risk assessments related to the engineering discipline.
• Support contract managers in issuing claims related to changes in project scope, including cost and time impacts and risk.
• Assist customers remotely and on-site across US and global projects and mentor entry-level engineers and teams.
• Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all project stages.
• Travel approximately up to 25% of the time.
