Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Head of Contract Management for Hub North America within the Grid Automation Business Unit. You will lead contractual strategy, oversee tendering, contract negotiation, and project execution to ensure compliant, efficient delivery across energy, infrastructure, software, and data center projects.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Risk, Legal, Finance, Engineering and other teams to strengthen contract frameworks, risk

Qualifications

• Work authorization to work in the United States.
• University degree in Law or equivalent; legal education or background preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience as Contract Manager, legal counsel, or similar.
• Experience in tendering and project execution for complex technology or infrastructure projects.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex contracts.
• Knowledge of contract strategy, risk allocation, change management, and disputes.
• Ability to provide practical guidance on complex contractual matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Contract Management strategy for Hub North America.
• Lead the Contract Management organization and standardize processes.
• Review tender documents to identify obligations, risks, and opportunities.
• Support tendering and sales with contract-compliant proposals.
• Negotiate and manage contractual arrangements with customers and partners.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and financial risks across the lifecycle.
• Provide Contract Management support during project execution and disputes.
• Coach Contract Management professionals and promote knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.
