Qualifications

The Colorado State Board of Land Commissioners manages a historic, multi-billion dollar endowment of assets including land, minerals, and revenue-generating activities that fund public schools and other projects. The agency’s work spans asset management, resource extraction, real estate, and outreach, supporting initiatives like leases for natural resource development and renewable energy projects.

The Transactions and Records Service (TRS) handles contracts related to leases, rights-of-way, minerals, and other land use agreements, managing over 7,200 contracts with specific legal and procedural requirements.

This role supports the TRS team in managing rights-of-way, renewable energy, and tower leases, using systems like NetSuite, Laserfiche, and Adobe. It involves following established processing protocols and seeking process improvements through Lean principles.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of office experience in contract processing, data entry, or electronic file management
  • OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to 3 years in related fields such as paralegal studies, business, or communications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in land use, renewable energy, or rights-of-way coordination

  • Previous state government experience is a plus

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a Colorado resident at hire
