The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, assisting in their daily tasks to prepare and dispense pharmaceutical drugs in accordance with standards, State and Federal laws, and department policies and procedures. Responsibilities vary depending on the location of pharmacy practice.
Monday to Friday; variable shifts between 8:30 am - 6:00 pm. No weekends or holidays.
Qualifications beyond a high school diploma must be from an accredited institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Completion of Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
Preferred candidate will have 1500 hours experience as a pharmacy technician due to the remote dispensing site.
Licenses and certifications must be obtained within six months of employment and remain current. Specific requirements vary by level, including pharmacy technician registration or licensure, and optional certifications like PTCB or NHA. Additional qualifications include Medical Assistant certifications, Registered Nurse License, or other recognized medical certifications.
