The Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Commercial Multi-Family Sales Representative in Mobile, AL to identify sales opportunities with local contractors and to assist with product knowledge and timely project support.

You will visit job sites, make calls, and leverage relationships to expand market share, read blueprints, and promote built-from-stocks and installed sales services. A track record in building materials sales and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience selling building materials to contractors.
• Knowledge of the building materials industry.
• Knowledge of interior doors and trim.
• Ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction practices; CAD skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify target customers, increase market share.
• Collect and update information on customers' product use and trends.
• Sell building materials and installed sales services to contractors.
• Determine appropriate credit program based on customer needs.
• Meet or exceed sales and profit goals; follow up on sales leads; monitor market trends.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with take-offs and scheduling/delivery commitments.
• Maintain open communication between store team and customers to ensure timely service.
• Keep a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
