Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Commercial Multi-Family Sales Representative to identify sales opportunities and drive projects with local contractors in Tallahassee. You will engage via calls, visits, and product guidance to support contractor needs and timely project completion.

The role requires knowledge of building materials, interior doors and trim, blueprints, and a collaborative team approach, with flexibility for weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience selling building materials to contractors.
• Knowledge of the building materials industry.
• Knowledge of interior doors and trim.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction practices; CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Identify target customers, increase market share and maintain growth.
• Follow up on sales leads, monitor market trends and meet sales/profit goals; enhance company reputation.
• Assist contractors with take-offs and coordinate scheduling/delivery commitments.
• Maintain open communication between store team and customers to ensure accurate, timely service.
• Commit to growth through training and product knowledge.
