Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Project Administrator in the Kansas City area to support project documentation, procurement, invoicing, and closeout activities. You will collaborate with Project Managers and engineers to ensure timely and compliant project execution from award through closeout.

The role requires adaptability, good communication, and the ability to work with multiple systems. On-site with some flexible work options, you will help maintain schedules and accurate cost tracking.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with up to 2 years of related experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
• Experience prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with basic accounting (AR/AP).
• HVAC knowledge is a plus.
• Overtime/weekend flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standard work and processes using enterprise systems.
• Coordinate the transition of projects from Sales to Operations within enterprise systems.
• Administer projects through lifecycle to ensure contract compliance and successful delivery.
• Manage procurement per project requirements; issue POs and subcontracts.
• Coordinate monthly customer invoicing per project requirements.
• Record project costs and assist forecasting using project reports.
• Resolve obstacles by coordinating with PMs, BAS/HVAC technicians, customers and stakeholders.
