Job summary

Intone Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks an experienced VoIP Engineer for a six-month+ contract. You will lead daily administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise VoIP platforms, collaborating with network teams to meet SLAs and guide design and deployment initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on CUCM/CER/CUC/UCCX/Expressway expertise, Cisco Webex Calling migration, incident response at L2/L3, and strong routing/QoS knowledge, with out-of-hours support when needed.

Qualifications

5+ years experience as a Network Engineer in a global organization with Cisco VoIP in enterprise environments.
CCNP or higher certification.
Hands-on with CUCM, CER, CUC, UCCX and Expressway.
Proficiency with Cisco Webex Calling and VoIP protocols SIP/H.323/MGCP/RTP.
Strong understanding of IP routing, switching and QoS.

Responsibilities

Perform daily server administration within the Voice-Over-IP platform, including level 3 incident and problem response.
Execute L2/L3 support and root cause analysis for voice issues, addressing packet loss, jitter and latency.
Design and configure CUCM, CER, CUC and SBC/CUBE.
Manage route patterns, translation rules and calling search spaces for PSTN connectivity.
Oversee patches, backups and firmware upgrades on Cisco voice gateways, phones and servers.
Collaborate with network engineers to support voice operations across infrastructure.
Lead voice network development and software implementation projects; allocate resources accordingly.
Support migration of on-premises VOIP environments to Cisco Webex Calling.
Create and maintain documentation for voice solutions and procedures.
Coordinate with carriers for number porting and incident resolution.
Provide out-of-hours support as required.
