Job summary

Pacer Group in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Production Planner to support master production scheduling and materials planning. You will plan, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements to ensure on-time delivery and efficient material flow.

Responsibilities include maintaining BOM, coordinating with QA, Purchasing, Engineering, and Inventory, analyzing inventory usage, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with upper-division coursework.
• CPIM basics certification or commitment to certification.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, inventory, and MRP.

Responsibilities

• Support master production schedule to meet division objectives.
• Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements.
• Maintain accurate item master schedules and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Advise management on WIP status, material availability, and potential issues.
• Ensure materials and services are available to support production requirements.
• Prepare work orders and purchase requests for components and parts.
• Coordinate material movement between internal areas, facilities, and suppliers.
• Schedule and expedite movement of parts to meet shipping deadlines.
• Analyze inventory usage, scrap, and waste for improvements.
• Monitor and report component shortages and production risks.
• Assist in resolving overshipments and order cancellations.
• Maintain configuration control for open orders and data files.
• Coordinate with QA, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Inventory Control.
