Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Chandler, AZ seeks a Production Planner II to create work orders, schedule production, and coordinate material flow to support the MRP schedule. You will work with operations and procurement to ensure timely materials and resource availability across multiple lines.

The role requires 4+ years in scheduling and 2+ years in lean manufacturing, with strong knowledge of Kanban, JIT and Oracle ERP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of scheduling, supply chain or fulfillment experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, production planning and materials control functions.
• Knowledge of scheduling and capacity planning tools.
• Strong understanding of Kanban, JIT, POU, FIFO, level loading and their application.
• Familiarity with raw components and their interchangeability.
• Skilled in navigating Oracle ERP.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate materials and production schedules with multiple inputs/outputs.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Create New Product Introduction (NPI) work orders with the NPI Manager to ensure timely planning and delivery.
• Assist CM with setting up new Part Numbers in Oracle and MRP parameters.
• Participate in the Make/Buy process.
• Distribute schedules to floor to level-load work with available resources.
• Expedite operations delaying schedules and adjust as needed.
• Resolve daily material shortages and expedite components.
• Provide production scheduling data to Buyers and VSMs for risk mitigation.
• Escalate shortages to appropriate parties for resolution.
• Revise schedules due to changes or shortages in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Communicate recovery dates when timelines slip.
• Prepare production reports like risk and on-time delivery reports.
• Audit and maintain MRP signal data in Oracle with supporting teams.
