Job summary

Ontic in Creedmoor, NC is seeking a Production Planner to manage material requirements and release work orders in line with customer schedules. You will work with Master Scheduler and Purchasing to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory across MTO and MTS environments.

Responsibilities include planning, tracking, and coordinating material, maintaining BOM and lead times, and using ERP/MRP systems to support aerospace manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• APICS certification (CPIM or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or production control.
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes and ERP/MRP systems.
• Solid understanding of APICS planning principles and multi-level BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, track, and prioritize production material requirements to meet Sales Order schedules.
• Create and release work orders to the shop floor in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain process flow charts for key products as required.
• Schedule, prioritize, and monitor production processes and material availability.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to meet delivery commitments.
