Job summary

The State of Washington, through Aging and Adult Services of Coastal Washington (AASCW), based in Aberdeen, WA, is seeking a Contract Specialist to develop and manage contracted services across multiple programs. The role ensures compliance with fund requirements and supports staff, contractors, and community partners.

You will lead procurement, negotiate terms, and monitor performance while serving as a program lead for funds such as Medicaid and the Older Americans Act.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in liberal arts or social/health sciences; 3+ years in an admin planning role, preferably in human services.
• Experience in community-based long-term care, aging and/or disability services, or human services.
• Experience managing government and private contracts.
• Experience conducting competitive bidding processes.
• Experience in assessing compliance.
• Experience in providing technical support to contractors.
• Requires current WDL and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop contracted services to meet AASCW's state and federal obligations and manage contracts.
• Ensure contracting policies comply with fund source requirements.
• Conduct public procurement processes.
• Negotiate contract terms and develop statements of work.
• Monitor contractor performance.
• Provide technical support to staff, contractors and community partners.
• Work in a team to achieve contracts management goals.
• Represent the agency to the community, contractors and other groups.
• Serve as lead for programs funded through Medicaid, Older Americans Act, WA Cares Fund and other sources.
• Programs may include Home Care, Nutrition, COPES Ancillary services, and more.
• Occasional travel is required.
