Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanency. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Applicants should have 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, be able to work Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm, and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information per protocol.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package and transport specimens following SOPs and transport guidelines.
