Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contracted role in Port Charlotte, FL. The position runs Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent employment.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, patient diversity from pediatric to geriatric, and proficiency with venipuncture, specimen labeling, and OSHA regulations. Responsibilities include blood draws, data recording, and ensuring specimen integrity.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
