Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. in Greer, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an initial duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

The role requires blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and proper handling. Minimum qualifications include a state Phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, plus a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels.
Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
