Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging and decontamination as required.
• Update patient information and maintain accurate maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique.
• Match laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package and transport specimens; store per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
