Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain records.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples by protocol.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Ensure samples match requisitions and proper labeling.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
