Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Draper, UT seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with a potential for permanent placement. The schedule is 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with an anticipated 3-month duration and possible extension.

Prior geriatric experience is preferred, and benefits are available. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and ensuring accurate data entry and specimen handling in a clinical laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state law.
• Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced clinical environment is preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection with proper labeling and handling.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and document patient information.
• Process specimens according to orders, centrifuge and store as required.
• Ensure accurate labeling, storage, and transport of specimens according to protocol.
• Attend department trainings and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
