Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC in Colonial Heights, VA, is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining specimen records; requires strong venipuncture skills and familiarity with lab procedures. Minimum qualifications include valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting;

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperature.
