Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and maintain accurate patient data. The role requires basic lab tasks, adherence to safety protocols, and clear communication with patients.

The position involves a 6 AM to 6 PM shift, potential rotation of weekends, and a contract with potential for permanent placement. A valid phlebotomy certification and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed is required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; high school diploma/ GED required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information; collects and stores specimens per procedure.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
