Job summary

Acloché LLC in Baltimore, MD is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support blood collection in a fast-paced clinical lab. The role follows a Mon-Fri schedule with one Saturday per month and an initial project duration of three months, with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensures correct labeling.
• Packages specimens for transport and maintains specimen integrity according to protocol.
• Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
