LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Shelby, NC for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Location: Shelby NC. Job code: CVDJP00035984.

Duration: 3 months with potential for perm. Benefits are available. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations. Minimum 1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED, plus minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly.
• Demonstrates technique with straight or butterfly needles; matches requisitions to tubes; handles labeling and transport.
• Check test requisitions against scripts; package specimens for transport; store specimens per protocol.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations; attend annual trainings; answer inquiries.
• Operate equipment and document results; ensure specimen integrity during transport.
