Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group has a contract phlebotomist position in Colonial Heights, VA, with a 3-month project and potential for permanent hire. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:45am-4:30pm, with benefits available. The role requires venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy certification, plus basic MS Office skills.

Training and procedures are in place to ensure compliant specimen handling. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and updating patient data.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection per SOPs with attention to patient safety.
• Label specimens, centrifuge as required, and ensure accurate data entry and specimen handling.
• Maintain and update patient information, records, and testing requisitions; explain procedures to patients.
• Assist with training and workflow improvement to support department efficiency.
