Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification where required by state.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED; minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data; decontamination.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport; store at required temperatures.
• Ensure OSHA and DEP regulations are followed; attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and document results accurately.
