Job summary

6 Degrees Search seeks a skilled Phlebotomist in Anchorage, AK for a contract role with potential for permanency. Typical schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a projected duration of 3 months and a chance to convert.

You will perform blood draws, label specimens, and ensure proper handling and documentation while adhering to lab procedures and OSHA regulations. A valid phlebotomy certification and at least six months of venipuncture experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens per established procedures; explains venipuncture procedures clearly.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
