Job summary

Biodesix is seeking a mobile phlebotomist to collect samples in patients' homes or workplaces in Western Kansas, including Garden City, for genomic/proteomic testing. Contract position with per-draw billing and 30-day payment terms. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities include scheduling, timely specimen collection, and communication with the office. Must own vehicle, supplies, and ability to print/scan documents; experience in phlebotomy is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture.
• Minimum of 1 full year of phlebotomy within the last 3 years.
• Professional verbal and written communication for client interaction and issue reporting.
• Ability to strictly follow established procedures and exercise judgement.
• Organized method for contacting and scheduling patients and communicating with the office.

Responsibilities

• Contact each patient within 24 hours.
• Prompt scheduling of appointments (1 to 3 days).
• Communicate with the office regarding scheduling, patient issues or draw complications.
• Specimen collection adhering to kit instructions precisely, to ensure accurate testing.
• Samples packed and shipped same day using FedEx materials provided by company.
• Prompt invoicing of draws for payment.
