Job summary

Biodesix seeks contract mobile phlebotomists to collect samples in patient homes or workplaces across the United States. You will perform nasal swab or venipuncture for blood-based tests, follow kit instructions precisely, and ship samples the same day. Training is provided; must provide own transportation and adhere to privacy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture.
• A minimum of 1 full year of phlebotomy within the last 3 calendar years.
• Professional verbal and written communication with clients.
• Ability to provide respectful, compassionate care under stress or illness.
• Ability to follow procedures and exercise sound judgement.
• Organized approach to contacting and scheduling patients and communicating with the office.
• Strong time management to ensure draws are conducted promptly.
• Technical knowledge to print, scan, upload and manage electronic communications.

Responsibilities

• Contact each patient within 24 hours.
• Prompt scheduling of appointments (1 to 3 days).
• Communicate with the office regarding scheduling, patient issues or draw complications.
• Specimen collection adhering to kit instructions precisely, to ensure accurate testing.
• Samples packed and shipped same day using FedEx shipping materials provided by company.
• Prompt invoicing of draws for payment.
