Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to provide expert legal guidance on Grid Integration projects, including data centers and eMobility, ensuring compliance with directives and local laws.

Responsibilities include identifying legal issues, supporting tender processes, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with global legal teams to mitigate risk and enforce company policies.

Qualifications

• Law degree required.
• 10+ years of corporate in-house or law firm experience relating to grid system or major utilities construction/engineering projects.
• Knowledge of utility-scale EPC agreements (onshore and offshore).
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Identify legal issues and proactively develop effective legal strategies and solutions for Grid Integration projects.
• Support legal aspects in tender processes, risk identification, contract negotiations, framework agreements, and major procurement contracts.
• Protect company policies and interests in internal activities and negotiations with third parties.
• Collaborate with global legal teams and interdisciplinary project teams.
• Promote dispute avoidance and coordinate claims with the legal department.
